My sleep apnea journey began four years ago. I can almost hear the gagging of my wife now, as she would sit bolt-upright in bed in the middle of sleep, and start gasping for air.

My online research for her symptoms (snoring, gasping for air, daytime fatigue) led me to a health condition that I had not even heard of before: obstructive sleep apnea.

In the years since I’ve built one of the most popular sites on the Web for sleep apnea treatments (Apnea Treatment Guide), and have immersed myself in the new and cutting-edge treatments for this terrible sleep disorder.

What have I learned? That there are MANY alternatives to CPAP – and that a lot of doctors simply prescribe CPAP as the “knee-jerk” reaction to sleep apnea symptoms.

I’ve also learned that a lot of sleep apneics (as sleep apnea sufferers are sometimes called) can’t tolerate CPAP, and are desperately looking for an alternative. That’s why I started Apnea Treatment Guide, and this site.

I hope you enjoy the information on If you have any comments or questions about exercises for sleep apnea, feel free to drop me a line!

To your good health,

Marc MacDonald, M.Sc.
